Random nail art

Hello~^^ This mani is seriously a bit of this and that - I had no clue what I wanted when I started and...this was the result, lol.

I quite like how everything just fell into place, sometimes simplicity is the best <3. Shown is two coats of Sally Hansen Mosaic creme.

Golden Cinnabar

Hi~ I'm supposed to be working on an assignment instead of blogging but I'm sick of it so here I am :P. Just a quick post to show you an old duochrome polish.

This is two coats of Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Golden Cinnabar. I'm not so sure I like this polish on me, it looks a bit meh on my skin tone :S. It reminds me so much of autumn though, which is kind of fitting down here in Australia now.

I love that the duochrome is so noticeable but the flashes of pink, bronze and yellow just aren't working for me :(. What do you think of this polish?

Spacey nails~!

Hello~ :) I was feeling quite space inspired today and thought I'd try my hand at a spacey manicure. I've actually attempted this once before but it turned out terrible so I never posted it on my blog :P. I quite like the outcome this time though!

First two photos are taken indoors under natural light, the following two taken under the sun. (Please ignore my horrible clean up, I was getting lazy after all the sponging and the camera makes everything look ten times worse than real life anyway :P)

I have never used to many bottles of nail polish in a single mani before, haha. I started off with Ulta3 black satin for the base colour. Space design sponged with:

Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Diamond and Ruby diamond
China Glaze IDK and 2Nite
Ulta3 antique copper
OPI Princesses rule

I topped off the design with L.A. Colors Star light and sealed it all with a top coat.

Whew, what a number of polishes! :P This is happens to be my 100th post and I can't believe I've stuck around this long to blogging! Thank you so much to everyone who finds interests in my manicures ;).

Sally Hansen Nail Prisms - Diamond

Woooo, another gorgeous holo polish! :) Following the release of China Glaze's Tronica Collection, I thought I'd jump onto the holo bandwagon and show you an old but beautiful polish by Sally Hansen.
Diamond

Diamond is a silver holo polish with scattered holo effects. It's also quite thin and I could have probably used a third coat in my mani. The drying time however, was longer than usual (compared to my previous experiences with holo polishes) and since I needed to sleep, I applied a top coat over the polish even though I hadn't intended to do so initially. I took a gazillion photos when the sun finally peeped out from behind the clouds for five minutes, but narrowed down to only sharing four photos :P.

Definitely click the photos to see Diamond in its fullest glory!

The photo below shows Diamond blurred so you can see the rainbow of colours. Isn't this polish just amazing? *___*

December haul

December was a quiet month for me, I needed to recuperate from my splurging spree in November haha. My mum came back from her trip to Hong Kong, so I also got my hands on some lovely international polishes ^^. The first two photos are taken indoors under natural light and the Sally Hansen Nail Prisms are taken indoors with flash.
Dec haul1

Firstly, the polishes from Hong Kong :). I didn't specify which polishes to buy - just the brand and colour suggestions - so these were my mum's choices. I'm loving the Golden Rose polishes, the mini bottles look so cute next to the Alessandro. She also bought what she thought was a grey polish, but it turned out to be a matte top coat lol. I love my mum ♥

Golden Rose 36, 40, 28 and Alessandro International 348

And some lovelies from Paddy's market :D.
Sally Hansen Ruby Diamond, Pink Rose Diamond

Sally Hansen Golden Cinnabar, Diamond

Ooh, I also bought Claires Mood Polish in Calm/Wild which I forgot to take a photo of.

Now with new collections coming out, I won't feel as guilty spending money on them! :P I'm especially eyeing China Glaze's Anchors Away collection, what about you?

Sally Hansen Nail Prisms - Ruby Diamond

Woo, this is holo madness! I went out to the city yesterday and came across some stalls which sold some of the older Sally Hansen polishes. I was absolutely over the moon to discover some of their Nail Prisms polishes :D. Today I have for you Ruby Diamond which is a gorgeous pink holo. I was hoping for a bright red, something along the lines of Nubar Prize, but this one is still very, very pretty.

Below is two coats of Ruby Diamond sealed with non chip top coat. Definitely click on the photos to view them in higher resolution!

November Haul

I've decided to write up posts of my hauls on a monthly basis now instead of showing them sporadically. I've already shown my first half of my November haul here so here's part II. November was definitely my largest hauling month to date; I spent waaaaay over $100 on nail polish which is a bit over my budget, hehe.

Anyway, here is part II of my haul.
Nov haul pt.II

OPI: Yodel me on my cell, Miami Beet, Siberian Nights
Nov haul pt.II - OPI

Sally Hansen Mosaic Creme, China Glaze Caribbean blue, Finger Paints Art you blue?
Nov haul pt.II - misc

Sportsgirl: Commando, Supernatural, matte topcoat
Nov haul pt.II - Sportsgirl
Woah, this brings my polish collection total to 122 bottles! While this may not be large in comparison to many bloggers, it's quite a feat for me since my addiction only started earlier this year ^^.

Gradation nails

This design was a failed attempt at gradation nails :(. I started off with Sally Hansen's HD Pixel Pretty, then began to layer the TBN polish on top of it. TBN's Purple Rain is a sheer purple, but a very, very pretty shade ♥. I'm definitely going to wear it as a full mani in the future!
gradation

The gradation didn't turn out the way I expected; Purple Rain's layers were really apparent even after a topcoat. Thus glitter was applied to 'hide' the blatantly obvious layers. I'm still not really loving my nails though :(.
