This is my last design for 2010! Happy New Year!!!! I'm so looking forward to what 2011 will bring. I am determined to pursue a career as a nail technician and I pray I can get it moving this year!
Anyways...LOL I used a chunky silver mix and silver holographic glitter acrylic to create this design. I actually made the mix on camera so you can see how I do it. It's very easy. I also used a square swarovski crystal to decorate it.
This is my 1st New Year's design. I used lilac holographic glitter scrylic, gold holographic glitter acrylic and a chunky pink metallic glitter mix. I put a confetti mix I got from confetti.com and large pink hexagons and shred glitters in it as well.
Here's another Christmas acrylic design. This one was pretty simple and easy to do.
To create this look I used a silver holographic acrylic mix and a premade light blue glitter mix with silver solid stars which I applied with clear acrylic. Then I just sculpted a snow Angel with Radiant White acrylic.
Hey Y'all! Here is my 1st Christmas design of the year! This theme for this design is candy canes on a pretty green background with red accents.
I made the mix for this design with fine & small emerald green glitter with e,era;d & dark green iridescent green shred glitter. I also put red chunky & shred glitter in as well. Then I used NSI Radiant White acrylic to make the candy canes. I used a red acrylic glitter I made with mica powders from Coastal Scents to make the bow. I finished the design by applying the red nails art paint for the candy cane stripes.
Happy 4th Y'all. Although a day late =) This design was created for Designernailvideo's nail art contest. The theme of course was 4th of July. I really went all out for this design because I really want to win this contest!!! Check out her channel and online store, she has some very great products.
For this design I used red white and blue glitter acrylic to create a different flag inspired design on each finger. On the thumb I only used red white and blue small round hexagon and shred glitter. To decorate the nails I used red & white hollow and tiny stars and red white & blue star rhinestones. I didn't post pictures of the products because I will be posting a haul with pictures this week that has most of the items I used.
Hey Y'all! I made this design for Mother's Day! The look is inspired by the Tiger Lily flower. I really love them, they're so exotic!
For this design, I used metallic plum and translucent acrylic glitter acrylic under plum holographic and iridescent shreds encased in clear acrylic. I created a tiger lily as my decorations with gold mini beads as an accent. I used baby pink and golden yellow acrylic I made from L.A. Colors eye shadows. I got the glitters that I used from Micheal's & JoAnn's. I got the mini beads on ebay.
My 1st blog contest ends tonight at 12AM E.S.T. I will make the winner announcement sometime before Friday but I'm hoping it will be by Wednesday at the latest. When I make the announcement I will also be announcing May's prizes and rules =) We're going to make it much easier this time ;) I have also make a haul video of some things I've been gtting from local craft stores, so look forward to that.
Here's yet another Valentine's Day 3d nail art design. It is my 1st entry to myglitternails acrylic nail art contest. The prizez for this contest are so awesome. Check them out here. This one was inspired by Valentine's Hershey's kisses. I hope y'all like it! I think its so cute!
For this design I used red, hot pink, silver & white acrylic glitter that I mixed myself. For the colored acrylic, I used clear acrylic powder and mixed regular craft glitter from Michael's and the white is white acrylic with translucent glitters. For sculpting the candies I used a size #2 sculpting brush.
I've made a full tutorial for the design and I'll post a few more pictures. I still have a couple more Valentine's Day tutorials planned so keep an eye out.
Another thing I'd like to mention is that I am 23 subscribers away from my 1st 100!!! I'm so excited and I'll be celebrating with a big contest. I hope that I'll get a lot of entries! Take care!
Hey Y'all! Here is my most recent contest entry to Dollface22772's Alice in Wonderland nail art contest. Be sure to check out her you tube channel she has great designs! And check out her blog while you're at it ;^)
Whenever I think of that story the Queen of Hearts always comes to mind. Being that it's almost Valentine's day I just couldn't resist creating a heart themed entry.I really love the way that the design turned out.
For this design I created a french manicure with Barely Legal polish from Sinful colors and Kaleidescope glitter polish from Wet n' Wild. I also used silver and silver glitter nail art polish to make the manicure line. All of these polishes I got from my local drug store and I got the nail art stripers at the local Beauty Mart. {AKA hair store =)}
Then I created the hearts with red and black glitter acrylics. I got the acrylics and the nail art sculpting brush set from Maytheps Ebay store. I didn't really like the way that it looked until...I added my favorite silver mini beads!!! LOL As you know I purchased them from karlinsu88nailexpert ebay store.
Hope you like this design and here are a few pictures.
And finally a full hand tutorial! Sorry it took so long to get to this point. Take care y'all. More Valentine's day designs coming up shortly!
This is the full tutorial for the New Year's Eve celebration that I did earlier. For this design I used a 4mm hot pink rhinestone I got from Michael's craft store as the focal point. That I surrounded with gold mini beads I got from ebay. I also used 3mm hot pink, light pink, dark & light purple rhinestones that I got from Micheal's.
This design is very quick, simple and easy to do. Simply paint the nail the colr of your choice, draw two lines crossing with gold nail art striper polish and cover that with gold glitter nail art striper polish. Next place the 4mm hot pink rhinestone {or you can choose rhinestones in colors that match your outfit for the evening} and surround that with the gold mini beads and finally in one of the sections of the nail randomly place the 3mm rhinestones.
It really is as easy as it looks so try it out this New Year's Eve!
I created this nail art design today with the intention of looking like the ball dropping on New Year's Eve. This design is very simple easy and elegant. The decorations I used were a 5mm rhinestone and silver mini beads. This look is great for a night out on the town!
The tutorial should be available shortly. I'm not sure but this may be an entry for a contest for New Year's Eve themed nail designs. I have an idea that I really want to try but it's one of those ideas that will turn out awesome or totally fail so we'll have to see. I have high hopes!
Hey Y'alll! I've just finished a new design I created for another contest entry. The theme for this entry is Holidays in general. Contestants are able to pick the holiday of their choice to create a design for. That's really great because just the other day while in Walmart shopping for supplies in anticipation of the recent blizzard I found this really cool glitter polish by Love My Nails. Being that it was only .99 I HAD to get it along with a couple other glitters that I will be using in future tutorials.
Unfortunately the polish is a bit hard to use as it is actual confetti and the slivers curl up so you have to put LOT of clear over. Another thing I didn't really care for was the fact that the silver stars don't come out on the brush. I had to dig around in it with a tooth pick for them. So I'll only be using that for 4th of July. But the finished look is quite awesome.
I'll be uploading the tutorial for this design in the next day or two. I want to say tomorrow but I want to make sure I keep my word in regards to my posts. On that note...I intended on making a full hand tutorial for the Frosty French design but had a memory mishap and I was only able to do it for the index finger. That will be uploaded shortly. Sorry for that. I do work a full time job that mentally wears me out so at times I get a bit loopy. =) Bear with me.
Hey Y'all! Here's another Christmas nail art design. This is a very simple elegant Christmas design I've created for the season.
